Name’s Eddie Graves. Private Detective.. or Investigator whatever you want to call me, fifty-two years old, born February 29th, 1973, a leap year baby. Only get a real birthday every four years, and most days that feels about right. The city and I have an understanding: I don’t ask it for mercy, and it doesn’t pretend to have any. I’ve been chasing liars, drunks, and ghosts for over three decades. These days, the cases pay less and the whiskey costs more, but the city still bleeds the same color. I don’t trust the internet, but my part time partner’s nephew swore it’s “good for business.” So here I am, don’t know what I’m doing, but then again, neither does the city most days.
